Frequently asked questions
What sizes are generated?
16, 32, 48 and 64 px PNGs (browser favicons), 180×180 (Apple touch icon), 192 and 512 px (PWA / manifest icons), plus a multi-size .ico containing 16, 32 and 48 px.
Can I use an emoji instead of an image?
Yes. Pick any emoji from the picker — it gets rendered to a canvas at every size, with a transparent or solid background of your choice.
What HTML tags do I need?
The tool generates copy-paste ready <link rel="icon">, <link rel="apple-touch-icon"> and manifest entries with the right sizes and paths.
Why does my favicon look blurry at 16×16 even though I uploaded a high-res image?
Detailed logos lose definition when downscaled to a 16-pixel grid — there's just not enough room for thin strokes or small text. Design for the smallest size first: a bold single letter, monogram or icon shape works better than a shrunk-down full logo.
